Cathedral glass

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

The term cathedral glass is monochromatic sheet glass, which may be textured on one side. It is named after the original stained glass first used in 10th century European cathedrals. Normal house window panes might be termed "clear cathedral glass". Cathedral glass comes in a very wide variety of colours and surface textures including hammered, rippled, seedy, and marine textures.
